Outlook with Firefox

S

Sidney Friedman

In my previous version of Firefox I had an icon for Outlook on the toolbar
(I forget how I configured that) so that when in Firefox I could click on
the Outlook icon and check my email.

Since updating Firefox the Outlook icon disappeared. I can open Outlook
separately but it would be more convenient to open Outlook when in the
browser when "you've got mail" sounds. Any help will be appreciated.

it was probably a firefox add-on. Go to the Tools menu in FF and choose
Add-ons. Then search for new ones. I didn't find any that sounded right but
maybe reviewing the list will refresh your memory.

If you get an email notification that suggests that OL is running in the
background, and shown in the task bar, then what's wrong with opening OL
from the task bar?
Your Q regarding FF should be directed to a FF group.
Convenient I wonder, it would seem your original setup of FF merely launched
OL

You are correct. I had the outlook icon on the firefox toolbar which opened
the program when I wanted.
There is no firefox newsgroup that I can find.

I meant the Outllook icon will be shown on your windows task bar.
Otherwise how else are you being notified of mail?
