Outlook will not send

New messages for sending are going to my Outbox. When I send and receive the
process completes and there are no error messages but the items do not leave
the Outbox. I have checked my account settings and they appear to be fine.
I have tried different accounts but no joy. I am using Outlook 2007.
 
I am having a similar problem. I can send Replies, but when I try to send a
NEW message it goes to my outbox, says sending complete, but the message is
never sent and it just sits in my outbox. I can not send ANY new messages.
HELP!!!!

Most of my NEW emails (not replies or forwards) end up going into my outbox
and staying there, but not being sent. If I click on send/recieve it says
sending complete, but it is still sitting in my outbox and it doesnt get sent.

If you start Outlook in safe mode, (Start>Run; outlook.exe /safe) does it
still happen?
 
I think I figured out that problem. It seems that when I transferred my
contacts over from windows mail the email addresses came over as text instead
of email links. When I click on my contact list the email addresses or
there, but when I click on the TO button no email addresses show up. I have
over 600 email addresses that now i have to go in and manually change.

You may not have to manually change them There's a free tool called the
"Resolve E-mail Address Utility" that might be able to resolve all those
addresses located here: http://www.chapura.com/downloads_utilities.php
