outlook will not send or recieve since i reinstalled norton

I had to reinstall Norton antiviruse and since that time my outlook will not
send or recieve any emails. I am able to open outlook but thats it.
any suggestions

What errors do you get?
What version/mode/SP level of Outlook? (help | about)
What version of NAV?
Have you tried disabling the mailscanning feature of Norton?
