Outlook will not prompt for profile to open when box is checked

The box to "prompt for profile to be used" is checked, but Outlook 2003 will
not prompt for profile to be used. Many thanks for any help resolving this.

It sounds like Outlook is already or still running then. This is often the
caused by 3rd party applications that you have installed.

G'Day Jbsi!
After HOURS and HOURS of work, attempting again and again with MS’s support and web http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296796. I’ve stumbled over a possible fix that has at least worked for me:

I unticked these 3x items in "MSCONFIG" then rebooted and it worked!!! It now prompts!:
Services:
NMIndexingService
NBService

Startup:
NMBgMonitor

…these seemingly are all related to NERO Burning Rom!! - Ive got Version 7 installed, and it still seems to work ok afterwards.

To make things easier on my other half, I also set up 2x icons with the command line switches /profile "xxx" in them too.
