Outlook TSR

I have noticed on several occasions that Outlook.exe stays loaded in memory
and utilizes up to 40%cpu resources after I end the program. Any idea why? I
run Outlook 2003 SP3 on a 2Ghz Core2Duo with XP SP2.

Would any of this cause Outlook to continually use cpu resources even when
idle? Task Manager shows Outlook utilizing as much as 40% of the cpu when
nothing is going on.

yes, if outlook is kept open by another utility, it can consume resources.
