Outlook Today screen corrupted

Within the last few days my Outlook 2000 SR-1 (9.0.0.3821 "No E-mail")
"Outlook Today" screen has been corrupted. When opening Outlook or
refreshing the Outlook Today screen, I see the calendar appointments for the
next few days, as usual...but only for about a fifth of a second. Then a
mostly blank screen takes over: it has the date and 3 headers (Calendar,
Tasks and Messages), and under the Messages header is the message
"AAAAAAAAAAAA 9999" that doesn't open. Other Outlook functions (e.g.,
Calendar) work normally.

Is this the latest virus? (NAV doesn't find anything.) Any ideas what's
wrong?

Try running a Detect and Repair from the Help menu -- make sure you have your
Office CD handy.

Tried this, didn't work, nor did applying SP3. Any other ideas?
