I have outlook version 2000 and my computer also has Outlook Express, I want
to convert, but am afraid of loosing my current emails.

use the import/export feature under Outlook (FILE menu). That will enable you
to import all of your data from one application to the other. You should then
be able to remove/disable Express and not lose anything

You don't convert from one to the other. They both can work. In fact, Outlook
requires Outlook Express to work. You can Import your Mail Settings in OE, as
well as your addresses and messages. Just be sure to leave a copy of messages

Since Outlook and Outlook Express do not reference each others' mail stores,
the one cannot affect the other this way.
