Outlook times out downloading large attachments

Outlook 2007 - IMAP email account.
On any attachment larger than 2MB Outlook times out downloading. Thunderbird
does not. Is there a setting in Outlook to change this?
 
tools, accounts, double click to open the account and click on the more
settings button then advanced tab.
