Outlook through a server

We run MS windows 2000 server in our company and MS Office 2003. Each
individual has over a period of time utilised outlook mainly for its mail
functions with the contacts section being utilised (or more importantly under
utilised). Our business is home construction and so many messages go astray
because we have no structured system to capture all this information except
for handwritten notes on file. I would like to see us set up a master
contacts system utilising the server, which everyone used (they could have
their own personal contacts folder) this would allow us to have a record (if
used correctly) of every correspondence with clients, suppliers,
sub-contractors etc. I realise the power of contacts and want to unleash it
on my company.

Do you have Exchange on the server?
