Outlook template to an oft file

I have saved my outlook template documents on my laptop to an external
storage device. When I transfer them to my desktop, they have converted to an
oft file which I cant open. I have tried opening file using outlook but it
states that the oft file is not a valid Win32 application. Help!

How did you create the template documents?
Where did you store them originally?
Which method of transferring did you use to get them to your external device
and to your desktop?
Which version of Outlook are you using?

OFT is outlook template file type. What version of Outlook is on the desktop
and laptop? How are you opening them on the desktop?

Hello there,

I create an outlook teplate, but when I try to open it, it doesn't open and appears a message that says: "... is not a valid Win 32 application".

My office is 2007.

I have already tried to open the same template on other computers and it works, so any idea why I can not open that template on that computer?

It means your file association for oft-files is not properly registered in
Windows.
The easiest fix would be to do a repair on Office.

For future reference, you might want to start a new thread of your own
instead of replying to a thread that is over 2 years old. You can use the
original newsgroups for that which are hosted by Microsoft (Egghead Cafe is
only a mirror of that).
