Outlook synchronization

I have been having persistent problems synchronizing Outlook over a
high-speed internet connection and VPN.

I get the following error:
Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server
is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.'

Has anyonehad this problem? I have tried a couple of Microsoft KB solutions
with no luck. Client is up to date on all service packs etc.
