Outlook sync error with Ipaq

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my boss's Ipaq. At best it was always flakey when
syncing with our old Exchange2000 server. Since we upgraded to Exhange2003
(still running Outlook2002 on his PC) when he tries to sync his exchange
folders (inbox, notes, calendar) we reveice an error from ActiveSync saying
it can't connect to the Notes folder. This seems specific to his account as
we were able to use the Ipaq to sync to another users account. I have not
been able to find any odd permissions on the Notes folder and am at a loss
at the moment. The last restort is to either delete and recreate his account
or at least the Notes folder, but I thought I would ask here first to see if
anyone else had run into this problem and has a better solution.

The rev of active sync was 3.7.1 from memory. He also has avantgo installed
and as far as I can tell that is the latest version as well.

Anyway, any suggestions/pointers would be greatly appreciated as it's the
CEOs iPaq.

The first thing I'd try is to install ActiveSync 3.8, which just came out.
The next thing I'd try is to post to the Pocket PC/ActiveSync newsgroups.

Yep, just found it after I posted to the group. Installed it and Outlook2003
and it's working now. I really should have done one at a time, but someone
else tested it under Outlook2003 with ActiveSync 3.7.1 and had problems, so
I am resonably sure it was ActiveSync 3.7.8 that did the trick.

Oops. I didn't realise there were groups specific to that. I will post to
those in the future.

Thanks

Craig
