Outlook stops responding when a message with an attachment is sel.

Whenever a new message is received with an attachment (any size) and I click
on it to open or preview it, Outlook stops responding and the only thing I
can do is <Ctrl><Alt><Del> and "End Task".

I have removed Outlook and re-installed it and it works OK for a while.
Help. Thanks.

What version of Outlook are we talking about here? What is your setup?
Account type, message store location, tried it with the virusscanner
(integration) turned off already? Does it work when Outlook is started in
safe mode?
