When Outlook starts Windows 7 asks " Do you want to allow the program to make
changes to this computer"... When I say Yes, it continues fine. Why is it
doing this

Outlook is MS Office 2007 and it is Windows 7 on an HP.
Also Word can not "FInd the envelop" when I try to email from Word.

Any thoughts... I have installed SP 2 to no avail.

Sounds like User Account Control (UAC), those pesky security features in
Vista and Windows 7.

Try running Outlook under Administrator privileges:
In the Start Menu, search for Outlook.exe, right-click on that and
select "Run as Administrator"

If you're unable to run as administrator because your own account
doesn't have that privilege, find out who the administrator for your
system is and ask him to help you.

That's probably a bug in Outlook.

Always start up Outlook *before* you start up Word. Make sure Outlook
is running OK while you try to send email from Word.

I tried these ideas and to no avail... it let me set outlook to run as
administrator but the error msg of "allow this program to make changes still
somes up". Also the word problem is still there even if I start Outlook first
before I work and email in Word. I havent seen the data check issues though
when Outlook starts.
