Outlook starts VERY SLOW and constantly has to restart

Many years using Outlook...never seen this. I start up Outlook and it takes
about 45 seconds to start up. New computer...2 gig Ram and brand new hard
drive. Also, periodically slow between folders...then all of a sudden it
says, sorry Outlook needs to close and needs to restart. Help please.
