Outlook start menu folders expanding

i've dragged 'my documents' and 'my computer' folders into my start menu (i'm
using the classic look), and can't get the folders to not expand. i've
selected and then deselect the 'expand folders' option in the 'customize'
option, but it's not working.

any suggestions greatly appreciated.
