Outlook spell checker

My computer is set as UK English in regional and language settings in the
control panel. In Outlook I have set the dictionary as UK English in the
Options/Spelling tab.

When I send emails though Outlook still uses the USA dictionary, and I can't
understand why.
Is there any way to ensure Outlook sticks with the UK dictionary.

Check
Start
All programs
MS Office tools
MS Language settings
Enabled languages tap
Check UK English
OK
