Outlook Shuts Down

After opening my inbox in Outlook when I attempt to delete a message my
monitor goes dark and the light turns amber. My computer does not shut down
and the only way I can get back in is to hold the power button until it turns
off and then restart. I have tried other monitors and the same thing
happens. I've also tried replacing the power supply and that didn't help. I
have a Dell OptiPlex GX270.

How are you deleting the message? Are you clicking the delete X in the
message after opening it? Or are you right clicking on the message in the
Inbox and clicking delete? Or are you hitting the Delete key?

If it is the delete key method, I would try swapping keyboards. Crumbs
and coffee have nasty habit of mucking up the functionality of a keyboard.
