Outlook shuts down

I have Outlook 2003 and it frequently shuts down, sometimes at the time I
launch the program and other times after using the program for a while. It
usually starts right back up when I launch it again, but occasionally there
is a fatal error (just related to Outlook) and I have to reboot in order to
launch Outlook again. Have XP SP2, Zone Alarm Pro, Spy Sweeper, and McAfee
Anti-virul.
 
First step would be to ensure Outlook has had all of its immunization shots
in the form of security patches and service packs through microsoft update
or office update.
