Outlook shuts down when I maximize. . . any ideas?

In the last two weeks, Outlook shuts down whenever I maximize the screen. I
have Outlook XP for students and teachers on an XP for Home Windows. Also,
it sometimes shuts down and will only launch in safe mode. Any ideas?

And does it work correctly then in safe mode?
What is logged to the Event Viewer?

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows

what you could try is to do a repair of MS Office/Outlook. Go to
Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs - MS Outlook XP. Click on
Change/Remove and choose "Repair" to do a repair of your installation.
If that doesn´t work try to do a complete uninstall and reinstall it
from the beginning - make sure to backup everything that you might need
in:
C:\Documents and Settings\%user
profile\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Outlook
such as *.pst files, *.ost files and *.pab files (if you have any).

I have done the "repair" and I have removed and reinstalled Office for
Students and Teachers twice now. I have also updated office with all the
updates available in the MS website. I still get the same results on my
lapstop. On my desktop, I updated everything and reinstalled Office for
Students and Teachers and Outlook now will maximize but it only works in Safe
mode. Help!

Two ways to see the Event log:

Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Event
Viewer or
right-click My computer>Manage>Event Viewer
