I wanted to forward a suspicious email to someone in my org that would be
more knowledgeable about the origins of the message. When I clicked forward,
I got a message warning me that blocked images will be downloaded if I
proceed and that I'll be giving myself away to the possible spammer who sent
it. (There should really be an option to just strip these images in a
forwarded message.) So instead I just copied the first few lines of the body
and pasted them in a new message so that my recipient has some context. But
once I pasted, I noticed that the blocked image made its way into my message
and on top of that became unblocked, notifying the could-be spammer to fire
in my direction.
