Outlook should let you set timezone of an event when creating it

I travel between UK and SIngapore and hence have diary events in both
timezones.
I have the second timezone set in outlook, but find the outlook management
of timezoned events very limiting.

In order to set up and event in the "second"timezone" you either have to
mentally work out the time to set it at, or change to computer timezone, add
the event, and then change back.

Also, if you go in to edit that event, you must do the same or it reverts to
the currently set timezone when you resave it.

My PDA (Palm) is much more clever - when you add an event you have the
option of setting the timezone in which the event will occur and then you set
it at the local time - i.e. a 9am meeting in Singapore is still a 9am meeting.

If this were added, then the present outlook "second timezone" feature would
be usable - at present it is useless in all practical terms. Looks nice but
misses the main point every user will want.

Paul B,

I think this is a great suggestion. Outlook's inability to conveniently set
up an appointment in a different time is a source of constant frustration
when you're puttting together a travel schedule.
