Outlook should let me customize read receipts by recipient

My company does not like having READ RECEIPTS set to "always send one"
because they say it creates unncessary traffic on the email server. But I
really need receipts from some people, and I don't always remember to set it
before sending the email. It would be great if I could set a "READ RECEIPT"
to automatically be set for certain recipients - so if I send an email to my
boss... it will automatically set a read receipt, but if I send one to my
friend, it won't. This is similar in concept to how you can color code
messages and calendar events by different criteria - I just want to be able
to set "read receipts" by criteria I chose.

Um, how about using a rule using the "notify me when read" clause?

I agree. Please enable us to customize contact options such as "always
request read receipt to this one contact". This would be such a helpful tool.
