Outlook sends multiple copies of videos and won't stop!

When I forward an e-mail with a video or sound file attachment Outlook sends
many copies. I usually have to stop the send process and delete the e-mail
from the send area. Ususally 5 or 6copies have been sent to the forwarding
address. How do I correct this?

Does the item actually get fully sent successfully the first time you send
it? Normally Outlook won't consider the item sent unless it makes it all the
way through, otherwise it'll try to resend.

Yes the message goes through fully the first time. Also the 2nd , 3rd , 4th, etc. It just seems to lock down with these video & sound files, (sometimes, but rarely, normal text files) and just keeps sending them until I intervene.

Does each copy also end up in the Sent Items folder?

No. I usually have to stop it and then delete it from the Send area as the process is continuing. Sometimes it will show up in the sent items box but only as one sent email. The person to whom I send the email will get multiple individual copies. The send/recieve message in the lower righ corner of my screen stays on
for a lONG time which lets me know I'm having this problem.

First, increase your server timeout value on the Advanced tab of the account
properties. Second, increase your send/receive interval. Third, disable
any mail scanning by your AV program, especially of outgoing mail, since
it's pointless anyway.
