Hi there, long title I know! I have recently moved our email setup from a
flakey old server with Exchange 5.5 to a shiney new one running Exchange
2000. The switch went smoothly but I am having a problem that I can't pin
down. I don't know whether it is an Exchange thing or an Outlook thing but
here is the problem:
Some people on the network need access to more than their own mailbox -
there are some mailboxes set up that particular clients send mail to.
Previously we just added the user to the permissions field of the mailbox in
Exchange 5.5 Administrator. With E2k I have given the users in question
full access rights to the mailbox which works fine - the only problem being
that every time a user wants to forward an email from the shared mailbox,
Outlook automatically puts the address of the shared mailbox in the "from"
field. Outlook did not do this before and I would like it so that forwarded
emails came the user and not the shared mailbox.
Sorry if I haven't explained it very well but I hope somebody understands
and has some advice.
Thanks,
Ric.
