Outlook security form

I am trying to set security settings with OutlookSecurity.oft form.
I have followed the instructions for setting up and publishing the form (in
public folders).

I can open the form to change settings but when I close and save it I get an
error message saying something like this: It is not possible to save
accessibility level for this security setting. Probably because of incorrect
password.

What could be wrong?

Another strange thing, I don’t have the registry path:
HKCU\SW\Policies\Microsoft\Security\, Security is missing, why?

Thanks,
Tommy

You forgot to mention your Outlook version.

The registry often does not contain keys for which there are not yet any values. Add them as needed or, better yet, manage them with GPO.

For best results, publish the security settings form and manage the folder with a mail profile that connects to Exchange directly, rather than with Cached Exchange mode.

Are you using Edit | Revise Contents to modify the item? Also, if you change only the Members, make some other change to the item to ensure that it saves correctly.

Yes I use Edit, Revise Contents. It dosen't matter what I change, I always
get the error message... but It seems to work anyway. The settings are saved
though the message and it works.

Thanks a lot!
