I have a client who needs to send web site links to his clients. However,
using Outlook 2002, it only sends the shortcut, a .url file attachment. We
have used the Outlook Security form on his Exchange server to allow him to
send this attachments. Our concern is that his clients may also be running
Outlook 2002 or higher and will have the links blocked. We notice that
Outlook 2000 sends not only a shortcut file attachment, but also the actual
link, ie http://www.microsoft.com in the text of the message. How can we get
Outlook 2002 to do this?

Thank you.

Annoying, isn't it?

Try this handy tool:
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto

I'd stick to just the text urls, BTW. Any recipient not running Windows
cannot use .lnk files, and yes, if any of the recipients are also using
Outlook 2000 or 98 with the security update, or Outlook XP; the .lnk
attachment will be blocked by default anyway.
