outlook 2002 - pdf attachments not visible

Can anyone help me? One of my customers uses MS Outlook
2002. When someone sends him an email with a .pdf
attached, he is unable to view the attachment without
saving it to his hard drive first. (He can't even see
the paper clip icon to know that the email has an
attachment.) I'm trying to help him fix the problem...

Did you ever fix this? I've just encountered the same thing. Open the
message and go to File-Save Attachments and it's there. Outlook 2002 on
Windows XPsp1. Some messages with PDF attachments do come through as
normal so it could be a function of the sender as well(?). Noticed in my
case that the sender's ISP (Earthlink) had added extra headers, possibly
for tracing...
