Got this off the MS website.
Does anyone know how to resolve this
issue? Thanks for all the help!!! The article is below in

When you say "resolve" do you mean you wish to prevent attachments from
being orphaned ? The only method I know of to prevent orphaned attachments
is to be meticulous about when you close the parent e-mail. If you close
the parent e-mail before closing the attachment you will orphan these files
in the secure temp folder. Browsing out to this secure temp folder
location periodically is a good idea to view the contents and delete any
attachments that are left here.

Hope that helps!!

I see the folder every time I try to save an attachment
in outlook but, it will not let me delete some files. How
do you find it on your hard drive. I searched for the
folder and I can not find it. A co-worker of mine has
quite a few files in his folder too and would like to
delete also. Any suggestions.
Thanks again for your help!

The secure temp folder is a super hidden folder and will not appear during
file searches. Here's how I do it. Send a .doc file attachment to
yourself (note: this only works with Office file types). Open the
attachment directly within the message (i.e. do not save the attachment,
rather open it). Once Word is open, choose File, Save As. Once you have
the Save As Explorer window open, notice Word will default the save as
location to the secure temp folder. Write down the randomized name of the
secure temp folder. Next, go to Start, Run, then enter "C:\Documents and
Settings\<yourusername>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\<securetempfoldername>". Note: remove the quotes and substitute your
username and folder name. Now you can open the secure temp folder from the
run line and delete allllllll those old orphaned file attachments.

A much simpler method would to change the location of the secure temp folder
to something easier to browse on. See the following article for more

Thank you and I will try this when I get back to work on
Monday. I will let you know how it works out.
Thanks!
