outlook searching for missing pst

Hi: I created a PST file named "4Bob.pst". After dumping some stuff to it I
closed outlook and later deleted the PST file. Now when I open Outlook it
tells me that "4Bob.pst" is missing and pops up an open file dialog that I
have to cancel.

Your first thought is that I should be able to go to Data File Management
and delete it. This is the problem - it doesn't show up there!

I figured that it might have to do with my beginning the name with a "4" but
not sure.

How do I tell Outlook to stop looking for this PST file?

thanks,
R

Nicely done. Deleting a PST file before you close it from the Outlook
profile to which it is attached corrupts the profile. You will need to
create a new Outlook profile or just put up with the prompts.
