Outlook says not responding?

When I open my outlook express the system just hangs (the
hour glass just runs) but I cannot see any past or
present emails (on the right) even though I see the
folders (Inbox, Sent, etc..) on the left.

I had a similar problem. Your problem may be similar to

mine. If you have AOL Instant Messenger, try opening it
and go to the Setup (on the signon screeN) and
you will see an option to "make AIM my default instant
messaging program." The box is checked. Uncheck it, then
place the check back into the box. Click Apply and then OK.
Your mail should open. Not sure what the problem is or why
this works, but it worked for me. I still have to do it
occasionally. Good luck....

Outlook and Outlook Express aren't the same thing. Ask in an Outlook
Express newsgroup.
