Outlook Repeat Sending Large files

When using Outlook 2003, SP2 under Windows XP SP2, when I send emails with
large attachments they hang in the Outbox and continuously send to all on the
distribution list. I clear my delete folder each time I exit Outlook. I saw
a post about this on Outlook Express, but did not know how meuch would apply.

As a postscript, I tried to use the advise posted for Outlook Express, but
the commands are different and was not able to use them. I use IHateSpam &
WebRoot Spy Sweeper on my computer.

If you use a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this and
try again.

This happens if the sent item folder is corrupted or due to antivirus
program >>which scans the e-mails while u send and receive .

Generally the files are > 1MB. Sent folder size 1.074 GB, which is probably
the problem. I have been using the same anit-virus software for quite some
time and only recently started having this problem.
