1. Search the Outlook Express Newsgroup (or Google for that matter) - you
will find (in Google) about 120,000 yes, that's right - ONE HUNDRED AND
TWENTY THOUSAND posts about this.

2. Try reading Help|Readme in Outlook Express. That will tell you all about
it.

3. If you can't be bothered to do any of that, go to Tools-Options-Security
and review the settings.

Dave,

This is due to a virus protection/security feature implemented in Outlook
Express 6 for XP. You may disable this feature if you are sure that the
attachments are from trusted sources.
1.. Start Outlook Express, and then on the Tools menu, click Options.
2.. Click the Security tab, and then click to select the Do not allow
attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus check
box under Virus Protection.

Hi, Dave.

OE6 doesn't remove any attachments. It prevents willy-nilly access to any
that it thinks might contain a virus. If you are sure the attachments are
OK, then click Tools | Options... | Security tab and remove the check from
the box that starts "Do not allow attachments..."
