Outlook express deleting attachments

I have been using OE for 5 years. Recently, it has been
removing ALL attachments that come through my email. The
message reads:

"OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in
your mail"

Then it goes on to list the attachment in the email.

There are attachments that I need to view, how and why is
OE removing these attachments for me? How can I change
this so that I do receive attachments? I do use Norton
and it catches any suspicous emails. Your quick response
would be greatly appreciated.

Open tools, options, security tab, then uncheck the box "Do not allow attachments to be saved............"

You ARE receiving the attachments. You have just been denied access to them.
Many/most spam e-mails contain things that are not too nice and can infect
your computer. The average person is not aware of this until after it
occurs. Therefore, Microsoft has taken the offensive and has enabled this
action "by DEFAULT". You are certainly allowed to change this action, but
beware of what attachments you open or run!

Go to Outlook Express/tools/options/security. Remove the check from the
appropriate box.
