outlook.pst is not a personal folders file

Hai ppl,
my outlook.pst file got deleted accidentally and i retrieve it by using
recover my files software. But now when configure the outlook.pst and open my
outlook it give error .......outlook\outlook.pst is not a personal folders
file. I tried the scanpst present the program files but still i`m not able to
open my mails.. Can anybody help me in this issue.

I wonder if the recovery application actually recovered the full pst-file.

thnx Roady for the reply but not able to retreive the error.. still the
recovered .pst file which is of sizze 523 mb not able to configure to
outlook. Can u plz give some link to 2 software which can repair the recoverd
file..
