Outlook.pst files

In using Data File Management I can find the Outlook backup pst file. I am
using Outlook 2003 and Windows XP Home with all the updates for each. When I
check the path C:\Documents and Settings\My name\Local
Settings\Applications\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst, I can't find anything
starting with Local Settings on down. What am I doing wrong since the
Outlook.pst file path shows in the Data Management File and even opens to
reveal the backup file itself?

Thanks

Clarify your post. What application are you using to "check the path?"
What is the path to your root Personal Folders file?

Mike,
I am running XPpro and used the START>SEARCH feature to look for "*.pst". It
was found in the WINDOWS folder. Then, using WINDOWS EXPLORER I went to the
WINDOWS folder and scrolled down to find OUTLOOK.PST. Un-fortunately, I don't
know whhich program will open this file. Hope I haven't mis-interpreted what
you're asking.

Hello
Those are hidden directories by default.
go to Windows explorer tools|folder options|view

hidden files and folders should be turned to show hidden files and folders
and the next 2 boxes- hide... s/b cleared. since your there you should
check the launch folder windows...

that should so it
