Outlook PST File Size

My outlook pst file keeps going corrupt because it gets too big. Is there
any way to make it smaller without deleting emails, calendar, contacts, etc?

Thanks!

You could try to compact, but I doubt that it will make a big difference
without deleting anything from it.

What Outlook version are you using, and what is the PST file size?

Can you make a balloon smaller without letting out some air? Of course not.

Why not create another PST for yourself and copy some of the older data in
the PST you're using now to the second PST? That will allow you to compact
your original PST and keep both smaller and Outlook happy.

Outlook 2003 Standard. The pst is almost 2GB.

Is it a 97-2002 type PST file? If so, you should consider to migrate to
a 2003 type file.

If it is 2003, then you shouldn't have any problems with corruption due
to size. Are you possibly not closing Outlook completely before
shutting down Windows? Check with the Task Manager.
