My first posting, I hope one of you can help me.
My question is in regards to Outlook 2003 on an XP machine.
For reasons that we won't go into, I decided to erase and recreate my user
account. I backed up my documents, but because my email account is on IMAP,
I decided to skip that step. Big mistake. My outgoing email was being
stored on the SENT ITEMs mail folder which was NOT being synchronized with
the IMAP folders. A thousand messages, which I really need back. Okay, I
run a data recovery tool and extract my .PST file. I repaired it with
SCANPST.EXE and imported it and later also tried FILE/OPEN/OUTLOOK DATA FILE.
The frustrating thing is that the .PST also only contains my IMAP files and
the SENT ITEMs folder remains empty. Is there a step I'm missing or is there
another file that I need to track down in order to get my files back or am I
doomed?

Dave
