Hi, Please can you help.
I am trying to get outlook to run the moment the PC is
switched on. I have put the program in to Task folder
and indicated to start on switch on.
The program keeps failing as it requires a password. I
have no password to give for Outlook only my user as
gary.

Can someone tell me what to do.
I know im probably a bit thick here but if thats the
case, teach me.
Thanks for reading
Gary.

Don't use schudules tasks to run it at startup, just put it in the startup
folder(on the start button, all programs menu). Anything in the startup
folder starts up when windows does.
The password thing is because in order to use schuduled tasks your user
account and the task must be password protected.

To get any program to start when Windows Starts, you can
create a shortcut for that program and put it in the All
Users (or specific) Users' Startup folder. That will
launch the application, if a password is required, it
will bring it up to that point,(should). Does that help?

Gary - are you using Outlook to read your mail? If so, you are being
asked a p/w because your mail server(s) require password
authentication for your pop3 mail account at the ISP. Yes, you should
have one, and it's probably the same password you use for your ISP.

If you don't know it, the only place to get it is from your ISP.
