Most (not all) of us use the Out of Office feature when we go on vacation,
TDY, etc. I'm not sure we all remember to block out calendar during that
period of time.
I wonder if the Out of Office Assistant could have fields to fill in such as
date and time of departure and date and time or return - and that information
be automatically populated to Calendar. There could be a selection if the
individual didn't, for some reason, want his Calendar updated.
There are times when I may schedule someone based on his/her availability
according to Calendar; however, if I had not sent e-mail I would not know the
person was out of the office, assuming he/she had not blocked out that time.
Do you think this is something that Microsoft folks would at least look at?
I don't know if this is technically possible, to be honest. Maybe Outlook
2007 has expanded the capability of Outlook; I have not used Outlook 2007 yet.
