Outlook notification via e-mail

Hello,
I am in the process of switching from Lotus to Outlook. I was able to send
e-mail notifications as reminders of calendar events and tasks due with
Lotus. How do I do this in Outlook?

You should use Calendar and set the reminder button to have the appt pop up
when you open Outlook.

I need Outlook to send a text message to my cell phone when events occur. I
will not be at my computer at that time.

I once found a macro on this site that would let you do what you're looking
for. I can't remember where it was though. But you need to look for the
macro that will allow you to to it.
