Outlook/Notes Task Category Synchronization Problem

Hi,

I have installed the Outlook Connector for Domino and after moving
everything over from Notes to Outlook, have discovered that the task/to-do
categories are not synchronizing properly. I searched around the web and
well as the various Outlook newsgroups, and it looks like this has been
reported by a handful of people already. While it is nice to know that I'm
not alone (I always start out under the assumption that I am doing something
wrong until proven otherwise), I was hoping to find a solution to the problem.

Here is the problem as I understand it so far:
- I can set the category of a task to a desired value in Outlook, but it is
cleared again the next day when the connector software displays the "Domino
mailbox: Downloading full items in Tasks (X of Y)" message in the tool bar.
- It does not matter if the task is created in Outlook or notes, the
category is always cleared on the Outlook side when the download occurs;
however, unless the task is modified in Outlook, a to-do item created in
Notes seems to retain the assigned category in Notes (hard to be sure since I
don't know how to force a task sync).

I am using the following versions (not sure how to determine the
Domino/Notes server version):
Outlook 2003 (11.6568.6568) SP2
Outlook Connector for Domino (2.0.4007.0)
Lotus Notes Client Release 6.5.1 (1/21/2004)

Does anyone know of a solution to this issue, or perhaps a workaround (for
my purposes, it would be acceptable to simply disable the task
synchronization)? If not, is there anything else I can do or any information
I could provide to try to help get this problem fixed?

Regards,
Marc

I have recently started to use the Outlook Connector for Domino, and experience the same issue. Is there a fix for this or at least a way to stop synchronizing tasks so categories are not lost?
