Outlook 2003 does not work...period. Occasionally lately I have been
receiving the message that the personal data file was not closed properly and
has to be checked. It used to be that I could close the program, reopen it
(with or without restarting the computer) and the program would open and work
properly. Now there's nothing.

I have the Norton add-in for Outlook and I have at times received that
message wanting me to disable it. But now I can't even disable it because the
program comes up but does nothing. I can only close it through ctrl-alt-del.

I have installed the SP3 upgrade from MS website, hoping that would help.
But it didn't. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks...

When Outlook "comes up but does nothing", is it actually using any CPU
or other resources (check with Task Manager)?

Have you tried to run the Inbox Repair Tool against your PST file?

Finally, does Outlook come up correctly if you run it in Safe Mode (hold
down CTRL key when starting Outlook)?
