outlook not closed properly

almost every time i open outlook - - it scans outlook.pst for errors and
when it opens it randomly gives me an error when trying to open an e-mail
stating that a program using outlook.pst shut down suddenly and to protect
the data in the pst file i should close all programs that would be using it.
i have run scanpst.exe several time showing no errors

also getting this error when trying to go from mail to calendar or contacts:

"Unable to display this folder. Another application closed unexpectedly
while using
your Personal Folders file
'C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst'. To prevent
potential damage to your Personal Folders file, it will not be available
until you close all applications currently using it."
