Outlook not an option in IE

I am running MS Office XP, Windows XP Pro and IE 6. I wanted to try Eudora
email, installed it and then removed it. Now when I go to IE to change the
default mail program Outlook is not an option, only Hotmail, Outlook
Express. What do I need to do to get Outlook back. I have selected "Make
Outlook Default for Mail" in the Outlook software but it hasn't helped.
