This subject has been broached before, but I have not seen a useful
answer. I am using the following:
MS WinXP Pro SP2
Outlook 2003 SP2 build v11.0, build 6568
Microsoft Exchange Server
The problem I am having is how to get all of my contacts to display
correctly. I have gone to Tools>Options>Contacts>Contact Options and
set the "Full Name" to Last First and set the "File As" to Last, First.
Originally my system default was to First Last, so to correct this I
changed the option and then exported all of my contacts to a CSV file.
I then deleted all of my contacts from Outlook and reimported them from
the CSV file.
The problem I'm having is that not all of the contacts display
correctly. I have 10 contacts out of 600 that show up First Middle Last
even though everything is correct when I select Check Full Name. I then
have about 50 contacts that don't show up in alphabetic order. I saw
another topic where this problem was presented with no solution. The
reason that this is a problem is that I want to sync my cellphone with
outlook, but if the names aren't ordered correctly they don't transfer
correctly. Does anyone have a fix for this. It is quite frustrating.
Thank you.
