outlook n my laptdoes not pick up e-mail when i am away from home

outlookmail used to work wherever I was with my laptop. now it gives me a
message : receiving reported error 0x80042108 unable to connect to your
incoming POP3 e-mail server...My internet service provider had no answers
 
It could be that the ISP you are using away from home doesn't allow to
connect to mailservers outside their network or your ISP doesn't allow
access to their mailservers unless you are on their network.
