Outlook .msg file

I save emails to my hard drive for future access as .msg files.
I have been doing this since XP.

The problem that I am having with Vista is that it will not open up these
..msg files with Outlook 2003. This is the program that I have associated with
these .msg files.

I am receiving an "invalid switch" when double clicking on these .msg files.

This didnt work either.
I need to figure out how to set the association with these .msg files.
I know how to do this but when I associate them to Outlook it seems to be
associating it with the Outlook Icon and not the .exe.

I think that is the problem.

Okay... I did find an Outlook.exe file.

Now when I try to open these .msg files with outlook I am receiving a
dialogue box that says "The command line argument is not valid. Verify the
switch you are using.

I guess I dont understand what this dialogue box is telling me. I am not the
only one either. Ou IT Dept has looked at this too and they cant figure it
out either.

Also, I am running Vista Business, not Vista Home. Home will not allow me to
connect to the network at work. So I had to upgrade from Home to Business.

This is what I suspected.
My Office11 directory is empty.
I think I might need to reinstall Outlook 2003.
Shoudnt there be files in this directory?

I do have the file types set to view hidden files as well. Still nothing
shows up in the Office11 directory.

I've been trying to associate these files from the appsdata\Microsoft
directory as well as the icon on my desktop.

None of these as worked. I have a feeling if I simply type in the path you
put in here it still will not work because the Office11 on my computer is
empty for some reason.
