Outlook mail notification problem

In Outlook XP, the envelope icon in the system tray that says you have
new mail keeps coming up even when there's no new mail. Is there any way
to fix this?

new mail keeps coming up even when there's no new mail. Is there any
way to fix this?

If you have a rule that moves mail from the Inbox to another folder, the
envelope alert will still appear even though the moved message is no longer
in the Inbox.
