Outlook loosing mouse focus

I'm using Vista and Outlook 2007. I prefer to use outlook for my Hotmail
account.

The problem is that since I subscribe to a couple of mailing list, I
sometimes need to delete many messages without reading it. I tend to click
the delete button (the one that has a cross) repeated to delete several
messages. The problem is that if the time interval is too short between
clicks, Outlook loses focus and the application behind becomes the active
application and get the click.

The problem isn't with outlook, its with the other application forcing
focus. I don't think using the Del button on the keyboard will help in this
case (but its often easier to del using the keyboard) unless you are sliding
the mouse around and bringing the other app into focus accidently.
